PHILADELPHIA -
The Flicka story
began with a big
city girl reporter
who couldn't find a
laptop case that
didn't look like it
belonged to a boy
reporter, so she
stitched up one of
her own.

Other girls took
note, and soon
Flicka started
sending her sleeves
around the world.

From its humble
beginnings (one
girl + one sewing
machine), Flicka
has grown - but
remains true to its
indie roots.

Bags are made in
the U.S.A. by folks
who make a decent
wage. Materials are
carefully selected
to meet the
company's two
requirements:
practicality and a
sense of
playfulness.
The word flicka
means girl in
Swedish.

Inspiration for
choosing the name
came from a year
Flicka spent in
Sweden; the first
time she packed up
her life's
possessions.

Many meanderings
followed.

Here's wishing you
a well-equipped
trip.
